 
French and Sailing Summer Camp in Hyeres (9-17 years)
Learn French and how to sail at our French Summer camp in Hyeres, the oldest established resort in Provence and an absolute paradise for those wanting to combine learning French with water sports, especially Sailing.
As well as the 20 French lessons each week, students have the choice of a “gentle sailing” programme (2 sessions of 90 minutes per week) or an “intensive sailing” programme (5 sessions of 90 minutes per week).
Students are divided into 3 groups – 9-11 year olds, 12-13 year olds and 14-17 year olds.
Accommodation in Hyeres
Students stay in the on-site residence in triple or quadruple rooms on a half or full board basis. The residence has a reception area, swimming pool, cafeteria, laundrette and TV room. A free shuttle bus service operates to the beach each day for sailing and other activities.
Sports and Cultural Activities
Sailing lessons take place at the beach “La Londe” about 12km from campus. Sailing lessons take place in a surveyed area of the beach reserved for our students. Lessons are taught by a French federation qualified sailing instructor on a 1:10 ratio. There are 3-4 students per boat and we use Hobie Cat 16 and TYKA boats.
As well as Sailing lessons there are excursions to Marseille, nautical theme park, Le Catellet and Le Lavandou and evening entertainment such as BBQ and crepes evenings.
Supervision
All activities and excursions are fully supervised by qualified staff. Students are supervised by their group leaders who live on-site at the residence. Older students (14-17) are allowed some free time with written parental consent.
How to get to camp
Flights to Nice and Toulon can be arranged from many UK airports. Airport transfers are included in the programme from Nice/Toulon airport on the Sunday before the course starts and the Saturday after the course finishes.
