The French school in Chambery is located just a 10 minute walk from the town centre where you will find pedestrianised areas lined with French shops and cafes. Chambery’s rich history as the capital of Savoie enables students to learn about French and the French culture in beautiful surroundings. Whether it be winter sports, mountain hikes or water sports there is always plenty of activities outside of class.
The French language school offers a wide range of French courses including an Intensive group course (20 French lessons per week), GCSE and A Level Revision courses, all taught by native speaking university qualified French tutors. As well as modern classrooms the school has a computer room with free internet access.

For students wanting to completely immerse themselves in the French language and culture we recommend that you stay with one of our carefully selected French host families. Alternatively students also have the option of staying in a student residence.
Social and Cultural Activities
The French language school works in partnership with Loisirs du Monde, a non profit organisation in charge of social and cultural activities developed to enrich your French cultural experience. Students can take part in excursions (Chamonix, Geneva, Lyon), cultural activities (wine and cheese tasting) and leisure activities (French cinema, petanque).
Flights are available from the UK direct to Chambery airport during the ski season and to Geneva or Lyon airports all year round. Airport transfers are available from all airports to Chambery for an additional charge.

French and Skiing
Combine your French lessons with weekend ski trips. Located in the picturesque French Alps, Chambery is the perfect location for combining a French course with skiing at the world famous ski resorts of Chamonix, Val d’Isere and Les Arcs.
The 2-week French and Ski programme includes 20 French lessons per week and 2 ski trips at the weekend. Transport to the ski resort and ski passes is included in the price. Ski equipment can be hired on site.
Dates available throughout the ski season from January to March.
How to get to Chambery
During the Winter season both Jet2 and Flybe offer direct flights from Uk airports to Chambery. Out of ski season students can fly to either Geneva or Lyon airports and transfer to Chambery for their French course.
GCSE and A Level Revision
Dates available: 12th to 16th April 2010 for one week
These courses are a great way to prepare for your A-Level or GCSE exams. The programmes include 16 hours of General French lessons and 6 hours of A-Level or GCSE preparation. The teachers will concentrate on the main aspects of the A-Level or GCSE syllabus with a special focus on grammar and written comprehension and expression. Our active methods in general group classes along with everyday life within a French family will improve your oral expression and will strengthen your knowledge of the French language.
