Learn Spanish in Madrid and really experience Spain’s
capital city with its hip neighbourhoods each with its own special character and something different to offer. Madrid is a new city by Spain’s standards but
it makes up for it with some of the best museums in the world and a high ratio of green areas including the world famous Retiro Park. Art enthusiasts will
drool over the collections at the modern art museum, the Reina Sofia, home to works by Picasso, Dali and Miro. The school offers a wide range of Spanish
courses including a Semi-Intensive group course and a Summer course for young students. On all Spanish courses students receive 5 cultural lessons each week free of charge.
The Spanish language school provides Spanish courses to students of all levels and all ages. Our school is located in the city centre close to Madrid’s university area. Just 5 minutes walk from the Plaza de
Espana. The school has 40 air-conditioned classrooms as well as a computer room with 20 computers and internet access, a TV and video room, well-equipped
library and spacious patio. The maximum class size is just 10 students per group and the average is 6 per group.
Accommodation in Madrid
For students wanting to completely immerse themselves in the Spanish language and culture we recommend that you stay with one of our carefully selected Spanish host families. Alternatively students can stay in a
student residence or an apartment shared with other students.
Social and Cultural Activities
Our Spanish language school in Madrid organises a weekly programme of
afternoon and evening social activities for students to participate in.
These include a guided tour of Madrid and the Royal Palace, visit to
the Prado Museum, Spanish film evenings, seminars on Spanish History,
Art and Literature. At the weekend the school offers excursions to El
Escorial, Toledo and Segovia.
Learning Spanish involves much more than just grammar and
conversation exercises. Your Spanish course in Madrid serves as a
gateway to another culture, society, traditions and way of thinking.
For this reason all of our students receive 5 free cultural lessons as
part of their Spanish course. Students may choose between participating
in these cultural lessons or in one of the following Spanish workshops:
Spanish culture, history, literature, art and
civilization:
students learn how to analyse Spain’s literature and art in their
historical context. The workshop also covers Spanish traditions
including gastronomy, music and flamenco dancing.
Radio Workshop: students create and produce their very own radio program that addresses national and international current event.
Journalism workshop: students create and produce their own newspaper or magazine with articles on news and cultural events.
Drama Workshop: students improve their Spanish through acting. Combining body language and verbal communication students learn about
Spanish culture from well-known plays.
Flights to Madrid can be arranged from many UK cities and airports. Airport transfers are available from Madrid airport.

Summer Courses for Young Students (11-17 years)
Summer Course – 4th July – 14th August 2010 (2 week course)
The Summer camp takes place in a private school campus on the outskirts of Madrid. The camp has an extensive range of facilities including a cafeteria, computer room, photo lab, TV room, soccer field, swimming pool, gymnasium, basketball and tennis courts.
Programme includes: 20 Spanish lessons per week, accommodation with Spanish Host Family or Student Residence, 4 meals per day, excursions and activities programme.
Activity programme: Guided tour of the Prado Museum,excursions to El Escorial, Amusement Park, Segovia, Salamanca, Toledo, sports, parties and cultural workshops.
Supervision: All activities are supervised and all excursions are accompanied by teachers. Group leaders live on-site providing 24-hour supervision.
